Year of 1941

The school was known as Dynevor Secondary School and the headmaster was Mr. Llewellyn John.

This was the year of the Swansea Blitz when, in February, the school lost its hall and library that had been housed in the corner block with its distinctive tower. The roofs of the De la Beche and  Dynevor wings were gutted and alternative accommodation had to be found for the pupils of De la Beche Girl School and some pupils of Dynevor throughout Swansea.

This page contains photographs that have been submitted by Terry Shorrock and Mansel Seacombe and a photograph of the 1991 reunion submitted by Alan Hickman.
