The ODA 2020/2021 Dinner was held on 22nd October, 2021 at the Village Hotel; a new venue for us.
A welcome drink ensured the evening got off to an excellent start. There was ample time to mingle and meet up with old friends before entering the dining room.
Stuart Batcup welcomed approximately 110 past pupils, staff and their guests before introducing Keith Ferguson, our President. Keith took over the Presidency from John Walters earlier in the year which negated the need for a formal speech at the dinner. The Rev. John Walters called on attendees to reflect for a moment on those who were no longer with us before saying grace. The rest of the evening was then free to enjoy the meal and each other’s company, without interruption.
We extend our thanks to Keith Ferguson and Jeff Vaughan for organising such a successful event; it was well worth the wait.
