Year of 1947

The school was known as Dynevor Secondary Grammar and the headmaster was Mr. W. Bryn Thomas.

This page contains photographs that have been submitted by Gwyn Davies (Class of ’44), Peter Miles (Class of ’46), Mansel Seacombe (Class of ’41) and Rhys Bryant (Year of ’47).  Rhys now lives in Lake Bluff, 35 miles north of downtown Chicago. He was contacted by the webmaster after Rhys submitted the Prefects photograph to the South Wales Evening Post on 28th. June 2004.

The Team and Group Gallery contain photographs supplied by Keith E. Morgan (Dynevor, 1947 – 1953). The images are from the School Annual Concert held in the Brangwyn Hall in 1947. As usual, the main choir was that of the Morriston Orpheus Choir. Morgan Lloyd was the Leader of the Orchestra and one of the Vocalists was Miss Marion Davies, soprano, who can be seen signing autographs. The main choral pieces for the Concert were the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah and Verdi’s Requiem Mass.
