In 2001-2 Dynevor was an annexe of the newly formed Dylan Thomas Community Comprehensive School. Graham Hanford, Deputy Head at Dynevor, was in charge. In this year pupils in Years 9 and 11, who started their school careers at Dynevor, remained on site to complete their SATs and GCSEs respectively.
On the last day of term in July 2002 an open day was held for past Dynevor Grammar and Comprehensive School pupils to tour the school and to attend the final Assembly Service.
